International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8 as a focal point in the women’s rights movement, gives focus to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women.
Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality. Collectively we can all inspire inclusion.
This year’s International Women day theme “Inspire Inclusion” emphasizes the need for inclusivity in achieving gender equality. It calls for breaking down barriers and creating spaces where all women, regardless of background, are valued and respected.
In Hegemony Global school, we not only celebrate but also believe in women empowerment. As a general awareness students performed a skit emphasising the need to encourage every girl child irrespective of their social and financial background be provided an opportunity for education.
