MATHEMATICS DAY - 22nd December 2025
Mathematics Day was celebrated on the HGS campus to highlight the contribution of mathematics and its applications in our daily lives. The Mathematics Day assembly was conducted in an informative and engaging manner, with students of various grades presenting mathematical models and experimental techniques used in everyday life. Grade I students presented a Geometry Shapes Fashion Show displaying colourful shapes, while students from Grades II and IV performed skits explaining the importance of zero in a lucid and interesting way. A special talk highlighting the role of mathematics in logical thinking and problem-solving was delivered by Grade III students. Grade V students performed an energetic dance representing different mathematical symbols, and Grade VI students enacted a role play personifying great mathematicians and their contributions. A graceful yoga dance demonstrating geometrical shapes and angles was performed by Grade VII students. The presentations were well organised under the meticulous supervision of HGS faculty members. The HGS academic program values mathematics as a core subject fundamental to the understanding of applied fields and scientific disciplines. The Mathematics Day celebrations encouraged a love for mathematics and its applied branches, providing a renewed perspective on the subject.
